白川鄉 -

really a place with breathtaking scenery .... but not my dreamt place .....

. may be- utopia is some place that is 可望而不可即- ok - you long for it, but what do you expect when you turn it into such a hot place where everyone wish to be there ---

白川鄉 now has lots of standard shops for tourists  - It is not a tranquil place anymore  - and most of the people you meet are not farmers, but are tourists who are holding cameras (just like me) you can even find grapefruit from South Africa (acutally, South African grapefruit was served during dinner)

When I was at the tower [vintage point for viewing the whole valley area) (around 1 hour) - I met with at least 300 tourists just to be there and take a shot and leave ....  

our hostess was a nice and friendly  - and I think she still has the primitive disposition of a villager ... but we tourists, new shop owners changed the place....

 I do not think anyone could  turn back the clock - and I would still like to be back - but not as a pilgrim anymore

  but just a tourist (that said, we still tried to take away our trash   .... BUTnote someone just left a soiled diaper at the park!!!!, and someone placed a chewed gum at the river bank --- I took away that piece of chewed gum (taking all the necessary precautions, of course) , but could not get to took away the diaper - not sure where to put my fingers....) - pls, do not spoil the place any further apart from visiting it, DO NOT LITTER!!! 

I am not judging anything (who am I to judge anyway) - I just think that it is really a 遺憾...... - no matter how hard we try - we may only be able to preserve the hardware, and not the software...
