The second day was supposingly the highlight of the trip. (1) we would be visiting 西湖度假村 http://www.westlake.com.tw/resortpark.html which had sort of a "懷舊卡通"theme park inside;  and (2) we would be celebrating our 9th anniversary. but it turned out ....

We had to take a 2-hour bus to 西湖度假村

which was in 苗栗縣. Then, the character statues there were all poorly maintained and there were no interactive games involving any of the cartoon characters and there were no "collectibles" to buy and .... sigh

殺風景之極的 "請勿進入"

This might be the worst theme park I've ever visited. If you are interested in going, pls visit my photo album first and reconsider. That would be all you could see there.

We found our comfort in the late afternoon at 鼎泰豐,

We then went to 昭和町 at the end of 永康街 which was kind of a small antique mall (inside a poultry market!!!, ), [but I think Mong Kok, Ap Liu Street and Cat Street are more interesting (and with more variety)]. Dinner was at 亞桑食堂  which was also along  永康街, the 豆魚 there was quite good.
