Read about this sometime ago and have been quite interested in it because of its compact size and under-1kg weight
tried to talk hubby into having this.... can take this to Japan and need not take relatively heavier (under 2 kg) laptop ma..... hubby reminded me that we already have two laptops at home >.

really compact and light, price ok ($3488)
keyboard ok, though the spacebar is not very sensitive - the sd slot is really useful esp for someone who uses this to upload photos , best if it has compact flash card slot also (but it does not have the space la---- hahahaha) ,speed is ok...
the only problems for digital dummy like me - (1) no dvd ROM, (2) heats up in just half an hour.... (3) the monitor is sooo small that for some webpage (such as maggie market).... where the stagnant webtop is too long and you cannot use scroll fn.............the user may find it difficult to read or use....
hahaha,but i can take it to ctr library and enjoy the free service provided by the gov
ASUS just released (15 Apr announcing the launch, the portable will be available by 19 Apr) its Eee PC 900, 8.9 inch monitor for just 3988 .....
