2007夏之日本忘憂之旅 - Day 2 - tokyo－夢想出走、夢想吾撈、夢想美食

An extremely tiring day today - woke up at 9:30a.m. and only got back to Inn at 11:15 pm

morning : shop at 上野御徒町多慶屋[多慶屋] and 吉池 (to buy pet supplies for my cat and fruits for the week)

go back to Otsuka 大塚 to have lunch at 壽司常. Order two tempura set,but we called that live fish set,as we were after the live fish - it still moved when the watress served it. and the total bill for 2 - 1800 yen (wow, I am willing to pay that in HK for just one pax if I were served the same stuff!!!)

BTW, live fish a la carte was only 500 yen

, so even if you go there at night, do order that

Afternoon : Went to Nakano to shop again - the "mall", if we called that small building a mall,

we hanged around there for > 5 hours.

Evening : Went to 新宿 to have dinner at himawari sushi.

whole meal only costed 2800 yen. - equivalent to the price at Genki in HK - but the stuff - far better la - and the Sum Sum there would provide you with English menu and a lady speaking putonghua would serve you - what else could you ask for??

Then rushed to Agnes B (RELUCTANTLY) to buy "行頭" for my new post. Actually, Agnes B was probably the barely min in the circle, but I do not care - I like black and basic stuff. (come to think of it, hubby and I had been to Tokyo >20 times but we had never been to any department store (except for the supermarkets and food courts). Thanks to Sis, who navigated us to Agnes B inside Odakuyo. Hence, I could get the stuff I needed in less half an hour (including getting tax refund). Most probably would not buy anymore apparel the whole trip. ha ha ha ha ha ha - freed at last

Then went to bookstore to buy Harry Potter (It was $100 more expensive then in HK!!!

, but can't help it - need that for the long train trips - as my Shudoku was out of order

Flipped through the last chapter when we walked along the road and Hubby complained

But 5 mins later, he came across a shop with a large TV outside which was showing Asian Football Cup LIVE - Japan vs Australia. He just asked me to leave as he had to stay there to watch the game - I had to walk to Donki alone

- Browsing around Donki for more than 45 minutes to wait for Hubby - who watched till the last minute - Japan bit Australia by 6 vs 5 (including after-match penalty)
