lunch with friend K was postoned as I was not feeling well last few days...
on D-day.... friend K just asked me to name a restaurant without any clue but informed me that she needed to be back early as she had a meeting in the afternoon..
... all my favourites are outside the "Central - Admiralty" zone woh.....
panic... tried to call Lady K....
..... to discuss but she was engaged

OK... did say that I would not visit this HK shop again after my last visit (
So.... here we come!!
bread basket ...okok ... but we did not finish the whole basket ... must say that Macao Robuchon serves far better bread boh
butter was not spectacular?? why ... because I had not fully recovered?? and taste bud not fully functional??
Praline... on warm pumkin .... good... praline was ice-cream like... yum yum
the fig paste that hid behind the fresh fig... was superb... and went excellently well with the foie gras.... love this appetizer...
crab meat on avocado... crabmeat quite salty....
chestnut soup... both Lady K and I agreed that we should better skip this (the soup was ok but considering the "opportunity cost" involved....)... (really... a bit taste like mushoon soup... cannot detect strong chestnut flavor...)
baby pork... good ... the skin was crispy... 豬肉有豬味... sauce was good...提鮮... the liver paste on the side... was quite special....he he
of course... cannot finish the potato mash... (I thought about a blogger when having this...
)
Lady K was almost late and we hushed the dessert...
good that we did not miss them... great!!
Must say that I would stick with Caprice in Hong Kong... though I like L'Atelier better than Jardin.... If you fancy Robuchon... really... do visit Macao!!
Nonetheless, the meal with Lady K was highly enjoyable... Lady K reminded me that no matter how painful/ stressful/ boring/ despicable my job could be.... I am blessed to have such a job... at least... could well afford such sumptuous lunch.... and I must say I am blessed to be surrounded by sooooo many angels and nice friends
